Charissa Thompson
Thompson was fired from FOX Sports in 2010 and performed double duty as a host for both Versus and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was host for Versus' NHL coverage in the studio and created web-based content for Yahoo's heavily-shopped platform. Thompson helmed the website's presence during high-profile sporting events, such as events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Success in both arenas resulted in her being a part of ESPN in August 2011 and she was promoted to host of the new evening show "Numbers Never lie." In the following year, she was promoted from "SportsNation," she enjoyed an extended period of popularity. She left the network for FS1's launch at Los Angeles, May 2013 before returning home to Los Angeles. Being a huge sports enthusiast, Thompson has also shown her impressive ability to move over into the entertainment realm of TV. She was tapped as a host of"Extra," the Hollywood newsmagazine "Extra" on June 2014 after working a number of jobs part-time. In her role she recorded segments at Universal Studios while also staffing awards shows and other celebrity occasions on a regular basis.
