Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and a musician. He was one of the members of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England in February 1994. He's also the daughter of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There, with three other students, he founded his musical group, White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks for their amazing performances they won. He was always interested in music but was aspiring to be a lawyer or physical therapy. The local bakery as a part-time job to help families financially. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition when he performed Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. Because of that, his band had to separate. In the course of auditioning on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suffer Without You, by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. The group was one of the contenders to win the award. They were in third place after Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle, who won. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not win the competition. Then Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
