Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the American sweetheart after she won American Idol in the first season. This win did more than propel her to fame however, it also secured her a multi-album recording contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since her debut her album, she's released several albums. From those, three made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also close to reaching the top position. She has been one of American Idol's most successful performers. In the course of her career and she started to experiment in new styles and themes of music. She often co-wrote songs with her husband to express her feelings. To acknowledge her talents and uniqueness, she has received a lot of praise and accolades. The most notable accomplishment is the fact that she was awarded the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her singing profession, she has also had a stint in TV and film. She is also the author of the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charities.
