Swift has shed her roots in the country as if she was shedding skins for second purposes showing herself to be the most savvy pop singer/songwriter of her time. Swift is able to tap into the current trend and create her personal. These skills were evident on her earliest hits especially the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showcased a songwriter discovering who she was and in the process, finding an audience of mass. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States and six of the singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But it also performed well around the globe. Swift was able to consolidate her popularity by releasing Speak Now almost two year after. Over the next three years, her popularity was growing through the years -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she entered a new arena of pop in which her talent was already well established. She stayed in the forefront of pop even when she dropped her style with her sibling albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
