Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American musician and singer. She started working in the world of music from a young age. At the age 10 she was a winner in local contests and recorded her debut album. In 1985, she joined Rounder Records and in 1987 came out with her debut album. The group she joined was who she still performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. They released their first album in 1989.
